I can not say enough great things about Corner Stone! They have been such wonderful people to work with and they truly care about each and everyone of their dogs. It was such a great experience to be able to visit their home and property to see where their Berners and puppies are raised. They truly do live the ultimate life on such spacious land.
Shelby and Philip are very knowledgeable when it comes down to talking thoroughly about all the orthopedic and genetic testing that they do on their Berners, which is why I decided to go with them when I got my berner. She has been such a great addition to our family and we will be back for another. Definitely reach out and speak with Shelby as she talks with you set by set even when it comes down to the dog food and supplements that they feed. Their website is also very thorough with all the information that you would need to know about their kennel. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you again Corner Stone!

Shelby has always been amazing to work with. We have gotten 3 Berners from them over the last 5 years and it has been nothing but a great process from start to finish!! First thing to say is Shelby and her family are extremely professional, personable and very knowledgeable when it comes down to knowing this breed. Shelby responds fast, and is always willing to go above and beyond to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. I can’t say enough about how much of a pleasure it was to deal with her. The love, care and concern for each and every pup is clearly evident. Our Walter has been home with us since Fall of 2025 and Shelby and I still communicate about Walter and how he’s doing with photos and videos. I would highly recommend Corner Stone Berners to anyone looking for their special Berner to add into their home, and I have in fact found mine. Shelby gave us weekly updates loaded with pics, videos and we even got to face time with little Walter in the growing process, left like we were there in person all the time. It really does help to narrow that distance as we awaited his arrival. Walter has truly been a blessing to our family. He’s the sweetest pup and he’s been great with everyone he meets. Potty training and crate training have been effortless! Shelby has given us advice on a routine and for some products that have worked out perfectly from the beginning. Our family is now complete and we can’t thank Shelby and her family enough. This whole experience has been smooth and so much easier than I had anticipated.
Our experience with Cornerstone was exceptional. As a family with 3 young children (and lifelong shelter adopters), choosing a breeder was not an easy decision, but Shelby immediately put us at ease.
Working with Shelby was an absolute pleasure! She was kind, responsive, and so informative. The entire process was thoughtful, transparent, and supportive. Their commitment to comprehensive health testing and responsible breeding gave us complete confidence. Anytime I asked for any bit of information regarding testing, she sent it our way for our records and also for our vet as well.
At 6 months old, our Berner is honestly such an amazing, well-behaved puppy, and everywhere we go, people stop to admire how beautiful he is. He has been such a great addition to our family and truly loves each and every one of our kids.

Wow! From the first contact with Shelby to the continued contact through our experience has been amazing. With living in Alaska, Shelby made things very easy when it came down to booking and getting my girls here. I had already had a berner and got 2 more from Corner Srone. What an amazing loving and caring individual Shelby and her family is. We love our girls and they have definitely lived the life here in Alaska over the last 3 years. The girls were born and raised in such a loving home with Shelby and her children and you can tell that the puppies were very much socialized when they came to us and it showed. You can’t go wrong getting a puppy through Corner Stone, They are simply the best! We will be back when we are ready for more.
Shelby was an Amazing breeder to work with! She always had timely communication and continuously provided updates from the moment we reached out to her in regards of us getting our pup. Our puppy came to us with a clean bill of health and all screenings were provided, as well as all AKC paperwork and so much information about the dog food they feed and the supplements. Extremely responsible breeder that takes great care of the parents and pups! We recommend Corner Stone and Shelby to anyone we see.
We adopted our Bernese puppy from Shelby at Christmas. We got lucky when we called her and she had 2 male pups still awaiting adoption. Within a few hours of me first contacting her she was FaceTiming me to allow me to see the puppies and make my pick. We thought it was very professional of her during the holiday season to take the time and speak with us through FaceTime and answer all our questions. They were able to meet me halfway for pick up and arrived right on time which was very convenient for us. It was such an easy and wonderful experience working with Shelby. We couldn’t be happier with our boy Woody. I highly recommend Cornerstone if you are looking for a Bernese puppy.
Our sweet pup from Shelby and Cornerstone is just the best!! Not only is the puppy such a sweet, socialized and healthy boy, the process was fabulous! Shelby communicated with updates, photos, information, answered all of our questions and just took the time to make sure everything was going well and we were updated. It was such a fun, memorable and smooth experience from start to finish. Shelby made sure that everything within our puppies packet had all the information we needed and she also included toys for our pup too! Shelby really cares and it definitely shows! We have gotten 2 puppies over the years from Cornerstone! They have been absolute joys to have within our home! The process was well thought out and Shelby was great to deal with. With updates and pictures weekly! I love seeing what the siblings look like as the years go by with following on social media. Shelby was an amazing breeder to work with when we got in touch with her. She is knowledgeable, very communicative and lovely to speak with. She helped provide all the necessary documentation, she is very well organized as well with her paperwork and the hand off was so easy the day we got our pup. Shelby makes things easy when we have any questions and has been there for us. We love our Berner pup!! And we couldn’t recommend them enough.
My family was not only able to adopt our dream puppy, but we also had the opportunity to work with Shelby twice! Before adopting our puppy, Shelby and I discussed adding an additional dog to the family. There was a wonderful 7 year old dog looking for a home for the rest of her years and Shelby made it happen in order for her to come into our home. We couldn’t resist and we was able to bring sweet Lizzie home one month before our puppy arrived. Shelby made both experiences so easy and was more than pleasant to work with. Her communicate throughout the process was top notch! She truly cares about the dogs and also the families they end up going to. Shelby at Corner Stone Berners was so great through the whole process when it came down to getting our puppy. She made me feel like I knew what I was doing when it came down to ordering food, supplements or anything else I needed for my pup before she came home. I’m a first time dog owner and she gave me the right advice. In my puppy packet Shelby was very thorough in all her paperwork and everything I needed to know when I took her home. The process of adoption from her was flawless! My family and I absolutely love our puppy! Her name is Carmellow and she is the sweetest and most well behaved puppy we could have asked for. Our girl is well adapted to our family now and is loving life. Also her favorite thing is snow and when it does we can never get her to come in! They say Berners love snow and they are definitely correct. Thank you Shelby and your family for all you do!
I got my Berner Murphy almost 2 years now and Shelby was fantastic to work with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a new puppy. You can tell how much she loves her puppies which is so appreciated. Shelby was very helpful throughout the entire process and answered all of my questions right away. She still even checks in every once in awhile as well since I got Murphy. He has been such a joy to have around and he also goes everywhere with me whether its to work, pick up the kids from school, to the store or even a coffee run through the drive-thru at Starbucks so he can get is pup-cup. He is truly a mans best friend, thanks again Shelby.
Shelby was amazing to work with. I recommend her 1000 percent. She was responsive immediately or within a certain time when I texted her and or gave her a phone call. I was able to video chat with our Bella girl and her and she answered all of my questions quickly and we just loved seeing our pup through FaceTime given our distance in northern Michigan. This was an amazing experience all around and Bella is such a love-bug, cuddler and so affectionate. I couldn’t have got a more lovable and well behaved Bernese Mountain Dog. We absolutely loved working with Shelby at Corner Stone Berners. After losing our beloved 10 year old Bernese – it took some time but I did a lot of research into reputable breeders that not only did all their orthopedic and genetic testing on their Berners, they put so much love and care into them as well. Shelby was exactly who we were looking for when it came down to our family getting our next Berner. Again her love and care for the mom/dad was foremost to us – and then of course – the love for the puppies within the litter. We love our Mac man – he is happy – healthy and came to our home well socialized and Shelby has children. She answered every question I had – and there were a lot – she was always accessible and still is. She sent lots of videos as well and not only ensured our pup was right for us, but that we were right for him. We got our Mac man about 2 years ago now this coming summer and the family and I have talked about getting another. We Highly recommend Corner Stone!
We adopted the most beautiful baby boy from Shelby and Cornerstone Berners. From the very beginning to the end, Shelby has and still is very attentive and they speaks volume. They were phenomenal to work with as Shelby is knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely cares about the families she serves when it comes down to her puppies. We are so grateful for Shelby and Cornerstone! Shelby’s communication was great from the first phone call, to the time of pick up! Shelby sent weekly updates with our pups growth, vet visits and pictures. Shelby is quick to respond to texts, emails and phone calls with any questions. She has always been transparent and very informative until our pup came home and made sure we knew everything paperwork wise when we went to our first vet appointment as well.
